Our event is over for another year. Thankyou to everyone for coming, it is great to see the support we receive.
The Historical Machinery Club of Tasmania was formed in 1988 by a small group of enthusiasts who were collectors of old machinery with the desire to encourage the younger generation to become interested in our heritage and preserve our past.
This event came about after the very successful NHMA National Rally which was held in Tasmania in 2001.
Sassafras Heritage Farming Weekend is a biennial event held in the alternate years to the national rally, just look for the Fergie tractor on the pole or GPS 7738 Bass Highway, Sassafras.
Entry is $10 adults, $5 children, under 10 free.
Due to limited space we can not offer camping to the general public. There are some free camp spots near by in Latrobe. Free Camp Latrobe
Many of the visitors to this event are from interstate and some overseas, and due to the close proximity to the Bass Highway many tourists from the Spirit of Tasmania call in on the way to their destination.
There will be displays to interest the whole family, including women and children, so you are assured of a packed schedule filled with family fun.
